My piles of odd socks was growing too large and I was spending hours matching. Until I bought sock locks. They are these circles you put over each pair of socks and they work. As long as my kids put the circles back on their socks before putting in the hamper...

I have the sock locks too. Doesn’t help

They were the only thing that worked for us. As long as my kids used them. You have to pull the circle farther in on both socks if the socks are falling out.

My son went to stay with a friend for an off-shabbos, soon after I'd replaced his odd socks (of course).
He returned home minus 2 socks (of course).
The 2 socks were from different pairs (of course).
Months later on Erev Pesach, his friend mailed him a package with....2 socks in.
So when all else fails, Pesach clean!

Lol when I buy a new Playmobil set I say how many peices will wind up behind or in the couch? Lol we had full clicks sets now we have a shoe box worth.
Also you will find the missing sock when you give up and throw it away
