Has anyone made Spanish rice in their crockpot instead of cholent? How much liquid do you put in do it doesn’t burn?

I would think the rice would get mushy unless you use a short grain rice but I still cant see it working so well.

Short grain brown rice with 4 1/2 times the amount of liquid, as rice.
