They are very different!
They attract a different type of crowd
There are more rules and less free time in new Manchester iirc

Not so much of a difference anymore.
They've recently been attracting similar girls. Chilled style, yeshivish. (I do not think Manchester sem gets chassidish girls anymore, partly due to the influx of new chassidish sems)
Just this past year, Manchester introduced a semi-uniform of a pleated skirt and a collared shirt (iirc)
Both have similar amounts of free time - not much! Say from after courses in the afternoon til evening shiur - 5.00pm - 7.30/8pm.
Both do great activities, shabbatons, hikes, show, socials etc
