I have a relative getting married overseas and then moving to Crown Heights after the wedding. I also live overseas and would like to give a gift voucher or buy an electrical kitchen appliance. I was thinking of getting a gift certificate to Sterling Electronics. Is there a cheaper store in NY or a store online which I could either order online or call up and give a credit card number and get either a git certificate or order an item and get it delivered? Is bed, bath and beyond cheaper? Do they sell appliances?

BB&B sell appliances - not ovens, but toaster ovens, crockpots, kitchen mixers, etc. BB&B is also very convenient - they'er everywhere and they ship what's ordered. Lots of people register there because they're so convenient and easy to deal with (esp. with returns from things on your registry).

I went to the Buzz, in Flatbush when I got married. They have everything from peelers and dishes to microwaves, irons and fridges, and stoves. Everything a newlywed needs. Plus if you go in during sheva brachos they give you a free sandwich maker. Cool, huh?
