Hi,

I'm coming to London iyH and would like to find an elegant dress for a simcha - not a gown. Has any sales started yet?
Where is it likely I'll be successful?

I'm not chassidish

I'd appreciate addresses as well please.

Side note, is there any gown rental places for myself? Wedding is in London or is there somewhere not expensive to buy? I know about Miri and Iti Grossnass.

How far in advance will you be coming to London because if any alterations are needed, this can be an issue. Also these gowns normally are booked months in advance, so there is likely to be limitations.
Are there any gown places in the country you live?

Maybe try the wardrobe or fame, they have elegant things you don't need appointment and not as expensive as Miri. Don't have any reco for SH though

And I can't help with gemach, I've never used it myself sorry

I don't know about sales because I've just moved out of London but I highly recommend Itis for beautiful products although she's not cheap. She has gowns, regular shabbos and dressier items.

You can check out regal gowns to see if they happen to have something that would work for you (rentals and sales from private people that have worn the gowns already)

Other shops that have nice stuff are:
Coats and Co - (SH) very big range, cheaper and very expensive, shop is crammed with items
Miss Moda - (SH), I'm not sure your age group, more younger crowd
Klarz - (SH), not massive selection but has nice things
All 3 shops are on different ends of Stamford Hill, I think Miss Moda is actually on the High Road, which is a continuation of Stamford Hill.
I cant' remember the name but there is a gown rental place that is on top of Miss Moda, it's pretty new, I think people give her gowns they've worn before.
