Very traditional shabbos meals here. I usually take a small piece of meat out of the chulent for dh.
We are pretty full after challah, fish and soup. I serve it with potato kugel.

What can I add this week? I'm thinking dh will be hungrier than usual. I'm not in the food of cooking a meat $$$.

Anyone is adding anything small to the menu and would share ideas?

You don’t usually make chicken? Make it this week, for sure

I'm not sure that after a fast is the best time to add anything extra. I would just make sure that you have plenty of what you usually serve. He may be hungrier vthan usual, but that doesn't necessarily mean he will eat much more than usual. It doesn't take that much to fill up.

Add a vegetable side like green beans or roasted cauliflower
You can make another starch like apple or carrot kugel

I keep thinking that too! He'll be hungry and just for another slice of challah LOL

I do usually make apple pie.
And I didn't make garlic confit in while, I think I'll just go with that.

If anything after a fast one gets full quickly so after challa fish and soup we'll probably be done.
