To eat for a meal? Definitely not I’d be starving if I only ate one…

Depends what else I'm eating. A drumstick and thigh, depending how large, could be 5-7 ounces of meat. Probably more than I would eat if having carbs in the meal, but possibly less than I would eat if just eating chicken and low carb veggies.

Too much for what?

I would eat a thigh and leg for dinner plus veggies and some rice.

If I skip the rice then Id eat more veggies.

An average quarter is only 200-250 calories without skin.

Me and my husband generally eat two legs each, plus rice and maybe some vegetables. And we're not big eaters by any stretch.

Also I find that the size of chicken pieces varies per package, as well as some brands run smaller than others.

Of the average to largish ones, DH and older boys would eat a quarter (thigh+leg) while I and girls would eat around an 8th (thigh or leg depending on appetite). The smaller ones usually we'd start with the same type of portions but would be much more likely to go back for seconds.

I’ve never eaten more than 1 leg at a meal (alongside a veg and a carb) I’m a pretty hungry person but I (naturally) eat very slowly which helps

When I saw a nutritionist she told me I could have a full leg for dinner with a serving of carbs and veggies. But it's usually too much for me and I just eat the triangle
