Anyone have good ideas for pregnant daughter-in-laws. They don't seem to eat much chicken but I still want to give them something to eat that is nutritious. My son says they basically eat side dishes. Any ideas- they are coming for a week so I need variety. Thanks.

I was going to post some toddler ideas for fussy eaters! as for pregnant ladies, I don't know, They eat what they are in the mood of for that second! good luck!

some ideas:

have good, whole grain bread around
cereal
yogurt
stir fries
pastas, penne vodka, fettucini...
lo meins
good veg. salad
fresh fruit salads
dips
potato kugel, always a hit with preggos
deli roll

For most of the pg I ate much of what your dil eats: side dishes, ie. salads and fruit - lots and lots of fruit.

Potatoes and rice were easy enough to eat almost all the time. Ratatouille and steamed veggies were another regular on my plate.

Kugels were a day to day basis - some days yes, others a resounding no.

I went through a lot of cucumber and tomatoes and peppers and a fair bit of lettuce -

Creamy things, mayo dressing, chummus, avocado turned me green - so I stayed away

I ate a ton of noodles and bagels and starchy things.. I couldn't eat anything but potato kugel and Challa at meals. Noshed on pickles a lot. And sorbet. Not together! Wink Enjoy the company!
