Hint: I might be here a lot while working if the nature of my job allows it. I might also be working with lots of others in the room. So that takes care of both at once. Maybe.

That just made me realize I've always imagined you a certain age (without actually thinking about it) - but really people of any age can have that sprightly energy! It's just a matter of perspective and personality.
How did you find imamother? How long did it take you to make your first post?

My workmate always repeated stuff she read here. Like Purim theme ideas, etc. She was (and still is) very open about being here. Once I signed up I posted that day.

People who respond to me in sarcastic ways or fardreit the answers, I drop them immediately.
I asked my 'friend' a question, she responded: why do want to know?
I never spoke with her again.
Don't you think people can feel hurt by your awkward response?

I know my company IRL so I know who would appreciate it and who wouldn’t. It’s trickier here.

I hear you and IRL I’d hear you too. Not everyone understands or appreciates humor. So now that you posted this under your SN I’ll try to make a note that you don’t appreciate it and not respond that way to you under your SN. You can also remind me if I forget or if you’re anonymous and I slip up.
Btw, it’s very extreme to drop a friend just because she asked why you want to know. She may have had valid reason for asking that. In general, dropping friends immediately shows some weakness on your part. Why not communicate and work things out? (Like we just did here) You can very quickly be left without friends this way.
