I have same setup as you sound to lower side...
I dont spend a lot on takeout/dips and pay like $1,500 monthly

Makes sense. £20 on meat and chicken sounds on the low side , but then again you're not feeding big kids like mine. If that includes Shabbos as well, it sounds great.

Because there's also the $100 a week of stuff from the bingo/Costco stock up.
I buy meat when we stock up at bingo or fill in a small bit even it's in sale locally (I can get meat that needs to be used that day for half price sometimes). Chicken is $1.99/lb here, so 6 packages for 1 week is around $25. Bread comes out to about $10. We're not huge produce people so it's only about $25 a week. Snacks are mostly in the Costco stock up. Most of the dairy is from the bingo stock up, so I'm spending maybe $10 a week filling in the gaps. $30 on things like pasta/ rice/ cereal/cans etc as needed on sale. I bake and freeze my own challah and shabbos desserts which saves a lot of money. We use very little disposable since we bH have 2 dishwashers.
In case you're curious:
Bingo break down:
$30 cream cheese
$50 hard cheese
$30 yogurt
$20 frozen veggies
$150 ground beef
$100 other cheap meats (London broil, stew etc)
$20 other odds and ends

We are a family of four and spend about $2000 a month on food. We do have marrieds that come for Shabbos though.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I really don’t buy ready made dips, baked goods (make my own cakes/cookies, challah etc) frozen pizza I’ll get once in a while and we do takeout less than 5 times a year for sure. I guess with today’s pricing it’s normal I just never realized it was that much a month and it’s helpful to know we’re not overspending. I try to shop bingo and sales as much as possible. I also buy as much as I can at target and Walmart such as four sugar and any kosher shelf stable items as I find they’re much cheaper. I just won’t run around from place to place chasing sales because I find that too overwhelming.

I have 3 elementary age kids and one toddler and our food/household budget is about 550 a week.
Kids and us eat lunch in school/work.
That said, I do buy some frozen foods like pizza or checked brocolli and get heimish hechsheirim on everything I buy. Meat and poultry from the Butcher my husb approves of is also very expensive! Im talking family pack of cutlets is still $8.99 lb. And I dont buy the fancy thin cutlets or ready made... Also my kids are good eaters bh so they eat a lot! Making healthy food in abundance is expensive! Also some little conveniences like individual Greek Yogurts, frozen fruits...
We keep to this budget by menu planning and doing a big biweekly shopping in a larger kosher supermarket so I'm not running to the grocery every day cuz I find that cuts down on impulse purchases.
