Should I buy my toddler snow boots/ mittens?

Nah it'll probably just be rain
I stopped buying snow boots after I realized they just sit in the closet with the tags still on the whole winter. It doesn't snow in NYC anymore like it did in my childhood when we would get the real deal blizzards

If you walk a lot of course get mittens it's cold outside.
If the only time he is outside is going into the car and then the house\store\ect.. you don't have to bother. Toddlers lose mittens very fast, sow them to an elastic string to keep them longer.
If you are getting boots get ones that can be used for rain they work for snow to.

I asked my kids to look in the coat closet for the boots I bought them last winter to check if they still fit, and it's a good thing I did. One whole side of the closet was wet from a leak from the ceiling and some things were starting to get mildewy. We use that closet for storage rather than daily use, so who knows how long that leak could have gone undetected if I hadn't heard that snow was in the forecast. Oy.

A piece of advice, after buying snow boots that never got used, I decided to buy from Zappos or UGG because you can return them after the season if they didn’t get used.

It has to snow! Based on the previous years weather I'm afraid my kids won't even know what snow is.

I size up for snow boots. I put on thick socks
so they can last 2 winters bec not worth buying every year
