I love saying something “socially unacceptable” and then watching everyone’s reaction

Hi kids! Feel better!
My ears are different heights. When I wear glasses, they go all crooked like Harry Potter, but no one else knows why

My son has that too! They told us when he was born what it's called and I've never remembered the name since, do you remember?
I read faster than anyone I've ever met, which enables me to be on imamother way more than one would expect given my life and schedule 😆 it also makes me bored on long Shabbosim, car rides, plane trips etc.
On the flip side it made school much easier especially grad school. 100 page readings never bothered me.
I don't write faster than anyone else though - so I'll read many more posts on here than I'll respond to.

I have emetephobia and because of that I’ve never yet vomited while pregnant, yet I’m still terrified of getting pregnant again, because I might have to throw up.

I'm also a speed reader! If I get engrossed in a book, I can finish it in a day. I'll often read an entire 300 page novel over a shabbos

I've read 1000 page books in a day. When I was a teenager, I used to read 3 novels start to finish over a shabbos. We'd go to the library every week or two and come home with bags of books.

My neck is shorter on one side and therefore my head is always slightly tilted.

Same! I wouldn't know because it's so slight but my glasses are a bit crooked. Always tried adjusting them till recently when I'm like

I had a rare autoimmune disease come out of the blue that basically started shutting down my body functions such as walking, moving my arms etc. It was so strange. Very treatable and happy it didn't get worse and affect my lungs or other vital organs. Probably the craziest thing that has ever happened to me.

So interesting! My glasses are always crooked and when I get them adjusted so they're straight, they're very uncomfortable. I wonder if this is why.

I always wondered when people say they are fast readers, what they mean. Came up recently as some of my kids were trying to outdo each other for who reads faster lol
Do you mean reading as in decoding? I assume that once one is a fluent reader, we all probably decode at similar speeds.
If it's a novel or someone sharing their personal experiences, I davka read slowly because I want to connect emotionally and put myself into the story, as well as savor the quality of the writing.
If it's nonfiction, I can read quickly but I won't remember any of it. Reading slowly helps me remember the facts, but that's a memory issue not reading ability.
