Gila
Gilla

Simple question - which do you prefer? I'm thinking the double LL...

I hear one L. But if you want to make unique- feel free. She’s iyh going to be yours and your husband forever. I prefer double L.

Gila
Double LL will make people pronounce it Gill-a as in Villa while one L will be Gila like Gee

Have never ever ever seen Gilla!

The name is pronounced Gē long e
It will definitely be mispronounced in the outside world
Double L will enforce a short I sound.

If you live somewhere where you pronounce it with short vowel sound, I guess that's okay

Please don't do LL. People will be misspelling her name her entire life.

The only spellings I have encountered in people I've known are Gila and Gilah.

The correct spelling is one l. There is only one lamed in the Hebrew name.

I'd faster do Geela for atypical spelling than gilla. Sounds like gills.

Like, I've seen Faigy, Faigie, Faygie, but most unusual? Fay-gee.

Gilla is a short I sound
Gila is the proper pronunciation, unless you’re from london or something
Also it looks interesting, like another mother said, like gills or something not pretty
