I spend about 150 ( a more expensive week)
this does not include the weeks we are home for shabbos - it isnt most weeks so I dont count that
I have two young children so our expenses are low.
I get wic benefits - it def helps but its pretty minimal
I do make protein every night - mainly chicken

On a regular week - 3 children at home plus me and my dh (others are in yeshiva so more $ when they come home) about $500 a week. I live in the 5T where grocery are expensive. Waiting for bingo to open up!
I always serve protein for supper, have cut up fruit/veggies when they get home, buy snacks for school…
No programs

Family of 7 in Lakewood. Oldest is 10. We spend about 500 a week. No programs. We're not huge eaters but neither are we small eaters and I serve a full meat protein supper almost every night because that's the main meal around here. If I don't serve a solid supper everyone is hungry and noshing all night. I don't find that saves me any money.

Family of 4, about $300.
We don't even eat meat much, comes about that no matter how much we try to cut costs.
No food stamps or WIC.

Family of 7 and snap but no where close to maximum benefits so I pay plenty for food. It takes the edge off but still I shop on average 2x a week and spend around 200-250 on food items only each visit. I really try to buy the cheapest option, I use the grocery store app and clip as many coupons as possible.
If we eat meat on Sunday night its shabbos leftovers repurposed. Monday is always meatless and usually pareve. Tues/Wed is a cheap meat dinner and Thursday/Motzei shabbos is dairy.
So really half and half.

Family of 7. 400-500
We eat mostly chicken for supper, we stock up on a variety of fruits and vegetables and LOADS of snacks. Don’t penny pinch, but don’t buy splurge-y items either.

6 kids at home, others in yeshiva.
OOT, cholov yisroel, pas yisroel.
Usually about $200-$300 a week.
most weekday meals are pareve.
If I spent the way I think I should spend it would probably be more like $500 a week.

Just me and dh. $100-$150 a week.
No govt programs.
I am very careful to only buy what we consume. I could spend even less but dh is a big snacker.

Average is about $250 a week ($300 if we do takeout 1 day) family of 6, oldest is 9. (Youngest not really eating yet)
I'm not including diapers, wipes ect in this. Just food...cholav Stam. Wondering if some of the high food spending listed here is due to cholav Yisrael?
I also do meat most nights, chicken or ground turkey. Once a wk I do dairy/pareve. (And some red meat in cholent. But not more then half a lb, cheapest cut)
I Live in NJ.
Edited to ad, no government assistance. I do pay for school lunches for 3 kids.

We eat meat 6 days a week.
One day we have pareve milchig supper which includes eggs or fish or cheese.
I think all groceries, wine, fish and butcher included we probably spend close to $1000 a week.
I know it’s a lot, and I’m already trying not to buy too much ready food, and in general but cheaper options…
