Oh, just that grades fill up quickly, and I've known people moving in to have trouble finding spots for their kids. Which is a massive headache once you've already moved! And camps also fill up fast.

When do camps start and when to apply

Rochester is beautiful- you can find houses well below that, the frum neighborhood is beautiful, suburban style living.

Re:school options, there's basically 1 choice, unless you're looking for very LWMO in which case there's another option

There are car break ins and bikes stolen in CH.

One of the local schools is going through transition (yet again!!!!).
If someone wants to join that school, I would definitely recommend waiting a year or two and hearing if the new hanhalah and changes helped or hurt.

Wait, which school?

Some places in NJ could fit this, but I haven't lived there in a while, so I don't have much more info.

Actually, I double checked the stats. St. Louis is now #1. Baltimore is #2. Philadelphia is #12. It has more murders, but it's a much larger city, so the rate is lower.

(However, if you ever see a crime map of Baltimore: most of them don't happen near the frum neighborhoods. Same for Chicago.)

In any case, as I said, the Main Line is extremely affluent and safe. The most dangerous part of the city is north Philadelphia.

This map is not so helpful to show total crime rate. It doesn't show total murders but murders per capita. So if you have a tiny city but 5 murders you may rank higher than a larger city with 200 murders. It also does not show other violent crimes...

Los Angeles isn't even on that list. And the number of gang deaths is astronomical. Not near frum areas but still... it also depends on how the calculate murder. Does a death while committing another crime count?
