DH recently had a health scare and needs to be more careful about what he eats. I have most meals and snacks figured out but coming short on lunch ideas.
Other than quinoa salad and tuna or quinoa and an omelet, or a tuna wrap, I can't think of much else. It would have to be ideas with minimal prep (not much chopping or sauteing) and can be made in advance. Also, no salmon.
DH works from home so he doesn't have to shlep lunch anywhere and is able to heat things up. He just doesn't have time to make something on the spot during lunch time.
I'd really appreciate any ideas.

Soups are a great idea. Thanks.
He wasn't put on a specific diet. He was just told to be careful with what he eats. With DH it means no sugars and to significantly cut down on carbs. He gets hungry easily and uses carbs to get full. I need some ideas that will replace the carbs and will still help him feel full.

I really like this. What spices do you use?

Many of the ideas mentioned are delicious but very high in carbs.
Wraps , barley, potatoes, blintzes, oatmeal, pancakes etc.

Your best bet is to stick to hearty soups as mentioned,
Salads with a protein
Anything with beans
Eggs
Any fish
Dinner leftovers mentioned above is best bc it’s least effort
Hatzlacha! And good health!

I love to make a grain salad the longer it sits the better it tastes and you can just serve yourself out of the fridge.

Meat or chicken would help fill him up and keep him low carb

London broil is good room temp. Cold. Or hot.
London broil salad or sliced and eaten with the quinoa salad

Turkey slices and lettice roll up with mustard to dip into and pickles to munch on.

Hamburger meat. Sautéed onion. Quinoa salad.

Sliced chicken breast is also good at any temp!
