Anyone fly spirit recently with a lap infant (10 months) and was able to take a doona ( car seat) and travel stroller for free?

According to their website you can check in a car seat and stroller free of charge.

Anyone tried?

I once went Spirit and checked in my car seat for free at check in.

ETA this was within the last 2 years.

Thanks! I’m wondering if I can take both a doona and butterfly/travel stroller.

The airline broke my car seat. I would highly reccomend getting your baby a seat and putting the car seat in a seat.

I have checked in a car seat (not a Donna though) and stroller for free on spirit a few times. But one time they did break slightly. We got reimbursed through our credit card which gives travel insurance if you purchase the tickets with that card.

They'll prob make you check it at the gate.

I would NOT check in any expensive stroller. It will very likely get damaged and domestic airlines don’t take responsibility. Buy a cheap travel stroller or the bugaboo travel bag.

ETA We used the travel bag and our bee got a little damaged and bugaboo sent replacement parts free of charge.

Most airlines gate check car seats and strollers for free. They also give priority boarding to passengers traveling with children.

Check the doona in collapsed. Tell them you need two tags, one for a car seat and one for a stroller.

I have never checked in a doona or flown spirit recently but I have gate checked car seats and strollers at the same time.
