Im in Chicago with kids 10-14. Any suggestions of a day trip tomorrow? Hopefully not expensive?

There are a lot of fun indoor places that combine go karts / rope courses / lazier tag / arcades / climbing, look up each of these for specifics:
Gizmos fun factory
Jaks warehouse
Urban air
Enchanted castle
There are also several trampoline parks / climbing including skyzone and sky high.
Funtopia is a fun climbing place, with an indoor cave to explore (small place though -so not more then 1.5 hrs entertainment).
We've also got some very well liked serious museums here, which are quite interactive and kid friendly. First 2 are our favorites.

Shedd aquarium
Field museum
Alder planetarium
There's also navy pier downtown -big touristy area. There a huge cool outdoor ferris wheel with heated cabins, a funhouse maze, indoor ice skating ring and some other attractions.

The Lincoln Park zoo is free, so if cost is most important, you can't beat free. But if you're willing to spend some money, our favorite memories are from the top of the Sears/Willis tower, the Museum of Science and Industry, and the Shedd Aquarium. We also stocked up on delicious meat from Romanian to bring home.
