DH & I would like to spend a vacation Shabbos in Boro Park.
Any ideas where we could stay?
Is there any place that provides meals?
Any ideas and/or tips would be greatly appreciated.

What do you want to get out of the Shabbos and we can help you
It’s not an oxymoron it can be an interesting trip
Why are you choosing this location for Shabbos?

We are looking for a change of scenery and to be in a Frum environment where there are Shuls, Kosher food, and Frum people on the streets.

Does the hotel provide Shabbos meals?
If not, what are our options?

OP - just be aware that there's no eiruv in Brooklyn. There may be a small one in whatever area you go to, but you need to check it out. It is not the norm in Brooklyn to carry on shabbat.

It's something my OOT friends always found surprising , so I thought I'd mention it

You moved a long time ago! Very Happy
She is inquiring about BP. There’s an Eiruv there...

Thanks for the replies.
Any opinions on Avenue Plaza vs Park House?
Do any serve Shabbos meals?

I don't know if you're being serious, but if yes I'd have to see if my DH agrees.

You can do a shabbos package from Satmar Butcher.

Make sure you're in the street at 12pm shabbos morning.
13 ave is fine, even 14 or 15.
The streets will be packed. Fun.

Dh is not a Tish goer, but maybe other imas can recommend shuls to go to.
Bobov maybe? 15 ave 48 street. Womens entrance on 48 street.

I think avenue plaza is a better location, center of town.

There are apartments on top of stores/homes that were recently renovated supposed to be gorgeous. Dips on 13 and 54 for one. Maybe someone here has contact info.

I don't believe so.

Maybe some knows if the Balcany family still hosts.

Avenue plaza. I doubt they have shabbos food, but you can ask...
Otherwise, there are so many place where you can buy the full shabbos meal- satmar takeout, luzis, gourmet glatt, etc...
If you'll be there friday morning or sunday, there are tons of places to buy lunch... 1982 is more chilled easy type... more upscale you can do Urbana.
If you want to buy melava malka motzei shabbos, you can try ice cream house- they have a great selection

It'll be interesting to see the action on friday as well (not only on shabbos)

Enjoy your vacation
