One spoon ice cream, a little medication, another spoon, more medicine...till you finish the syringe.
I teach my kids to swallow pills from 3-4 yo because of that. They hate the taste of liquid meds...

Lay on their back one person pin hands and legs, other person slowly squeezes syringe into their cheek. Blow on their face to make them swallow.

For a child that can cooperate I gave mine chocolate, they took a drop of medicine from syringe, a bite of chocolate, a drop of medicine, a bite of chocolate etc..

for my very stubborn toddler my husband first gavve coke in syringe once she liked it he added the medicine mixed with soda. She wouldnt take it from me
Also if you have another child taking medicine and they don’t mind taking it at the same time it can work for positive peer pressure

We tried laying her down but she’s too strong, she fights it. The chocolate is a good idea.

Mixing with kedem grape juice often works to block out the taste. It's more effective than other juices.

I try to do it at night after they're already in bed. Wake them up a little, hold chin and give it to them. The next syringe is apple juice or give a milky bottle if they drink that still.
