Going out of state for 1 night plus 1 day with baby and another young child for medical reasons.
I’m a bit overwhelmed- so someone please help me with a packing list, since you can’t do the actual packing for me
We will need to take food as well as there isn’t much kosher available where we’re going.
Tia!

Insurance cards
Cash for vending machines
If you don't have your own, borrow a doona for the baby (I can explain why if you want).
The type of clothing you are comfortable wearing in the hospital room overnight .

If you're driving vs flying, bring blankets for both kids. And a stuffed animal or something the kid with the medical issues can hold and squeeze if they will be going through something difficult, whether it's surgery or a blood test. And things to keep the kids occupied as quietly as possible in waiting rooms- pacifiers for the baby of relevant, an iPad and headphones, baby toys that don't crinkle, teething things if relevant.

Bring extras of everything if you can. Iy"H everything should go well and you can return home as scheduled, but in case there are any c"v complications you don't want to have to worry about doing an emergency load of laundry or running out of food.

BTDT many times. Everything everyone said upthread is great. I also like to mentally go through my child's day and pack accordingly so morning = clothes, breakfast, etc. This helps ensure that I don't forget anything.
Also, I don't think anyone mentioned personal hygiene stuff - brushes, toothbrushes, etc.
I always try to have a new toy plus a couple of old favorites to keep DC happy and occupied while I talk to the doctors.

A snood for you.
If we’re going to someplace with stores in the area and we’ll have a car I personally prefer not to overpack for all the just in cases. I’d rather run into target and buy a pair of Pajamas if someone ends up needing them then pack extras for everyone.

I actually keep a power bank in my diaper bag usually but think my husband took it- so this is a good reminder to go fetch it!

Why specifically a doona?
