how long did it take for your baby to heal from his bris?
any tips -- my baby was crying hysterically for a few hours straight last night. My husband pointed out that it's the third day and that's supposed to be the worst day but what is normal and what is not?
(as a side I'm not sure the crying was even really from the bris as I felt gas in his stomach)

if the bandage is still intact it might be too tight, if the crying persists I would check it out with a pediatrician/

I think maybe 3 weeks total for there to be no more redness/openess and that the skin grew back up towards the actual bris area. refuah shleima!

I can't remember any issues with any of my boys after about 3 days.

Refua Shalama!
I remember it was very bad for 3 - 4 days, and by a week it was pretty much better.

Why don't you call the mohel and ask him to come and check? Any good mohel should provide aftercare.

The first 2 hard for him but by the end of the week he was really doing ok--it had mostly healed by then.
I'd definitely recommend you give your pediatrician a call and have him/her look at it because it sounds like you certainly have some valid concerns.
