If you are on WIC do they still do finger prick for iron? That's free.

My pediatrician usually orders a blood test for it at the 1 year old visit. I would start with the pediatrician if you have concerns

What symptoms would a child show if he has iron?

I don’t know as my insurance covered, but are you doing a full iron panel? That will make a difference most likely

Recently I was concerned about the iron levels for dc. I scheduled a visit to the dr. Dr did a finger prick.
