What’s the point of reading if it flies out the window?

I read lots of novels. For me, it's the same thing as watching a movie. I spend an hour enjoying a good book. I don't always remember what I read for a long time...
(I don't watch movies!)

Changed my life would be a little dramatic but I just read the choice by Edith eger and found it so inspirational and empowering

The Phantom Tollbooth didn’t “change my life” but it feels like a formative block in the foundation of my personality 😆

Just the joy of wordplay and appreciation for cleverness and imagination and thinking outside the box

No p.
I just remembered I saw it on audible too. Goldstein narrated it I think. If you have audible you can find it there.

His book is amazing.
Its a compilation of all his talks. A lot of then available on YouTube.
He's an amazing kind giant of a man.

I am happy to send you a book if you plan to read it and utilize the information on the book to transform your home (if need be).

Lol 😆
I was thinking of Deep Blue by Gottesman in these terms. Personality changing.

I didn't end up marrying someone in longtime learning but this book idealizes and romanticizes the lifestyle in a way that makes you long for it. I think it should be required reading in schools.

It's not only really about anger, more about boundaries I would say. Very good to read if you're dealing with difficult people who seem to ruin your life.

Rather than just claim that such and such a book was life changing, you ought to state HOW it changed your life.

I just tried to put the “raising a loving family” book on hold at the public library and there are 22 holds on 2 copies! Wonder how many are because of this thread Wink Guess I’ll read it next year!

I found "Struggle to the Summit" by Rivka Zucker to be very inspiring.

I also liked "Mastering Relationships" by Mordechai Weinberger. Found it interesting.
