Is it normal to ask my kids and dh to put away their fresh folded laundry. They are not little kids but not teens either

Yes! Mine even help fold. Totally normal. I start from a very young age, give each kid their pile and tell them to put it in their drawers.

Absolutely! It's not "helping"--it's carrying their weight as members of the household. IMHO you're at least eight years behind schedule--kids are quite capable and should be doing this from age 6 at the latest. By 10 they're more than capable of folding their own clothes unsupervised, and by their teens they ought to be doing their own laundry unless they generate so little that theirs has to be combined with someone else's to make a full load.
Your dh? Al achas kama vechama.

My 2 and 4 year old put away laundry with me. They can't do it Alone because they can't open all the drawers ( on purpose to keep the baby from emptying them)
