Hi,
My son is a people-life smart boy but has difficulty learning, he’s very behind. Was wondering if anyone knows of a Yeshivah somewhere in Brooklyn that specializes with boys that need more help with learning? A Yeshivah that maybe teaches them other skills as well?

A people-smart, life-smart person does NOT belong in Ptach or any special ed program. He belongs in a regular bais-level yeshiva - with a tutor on the side *IF* he wants that and is willing. Please don't let people sell your child short. I made that terrible terrible mistake. Would you consider reaching out to Dr Mandelman? He helped fight for my child. Not all people in chinuch are well-meaning and sometimes you need someone bigger than a parent to champion your cause...

Not sure if this can help you but theres a yeshiva in Baltimore called Toras Chaim run by Rabbi Szendro. Maybe you can speak with them and see if they know of similar schools in Brooklyn they can recommend.

Its geared towards regular good yeshivah bachurim who arents strong learners, may have a learning disability, or weaker skills but want a regular yeshivah setting with other good boys.

It is not for kids who are special needs.

I have two friends with sons at Toras Chaim and they LOVE it. Their boys are doing so well there.
