Has anyone recently been on the inpatient pediatric floor of Mount Sinai? Curious what to expect…are there private rooms? Is there a couch/recliner for parent, bathrooms/showers in the room, etc?

I haven’t been there in about 4 years but this has been our experience-
Private room only when in isolation
Shared bathroom/shower, but we’ve mostly been in the picu- so don’t remember if the reg floor has the same setup.
There’s a chair that turns into a “bed” not very comfy…
The cardiac unit is really beautiful but when we were there the rest of the pediatric hospital was dusty, old and dingy. Someone told me they redid the rest of the hospital, so hopefully you have a cleaner, nicer experience than we did.
You can order food from satmar bikur cholim and chesed 24/7. There’s also a bikur cholim room next door in the Guggenheim pavilion. Can be accessed through the street or by going down with elevator to MC level and taking another elevator there.
