My son has ADHD and anxiety and is on meds for both. He has always had a challenging personality. We’ve seen many different types of therapists. He’s definitely improved but he has a long way to go and needs help mainly getting along with others and being able to see and understand someone else’s perspective. Medication management would be a nice plus. I believe that a good matter of fact, change oriented type of therapist would be best for him, not a soft “how does that make you feel, let’s focus on your positive qualities” type iykwim, we’ve had those.
Also his schedule is tough so someone with Friday or Sunday afternoon hours…
Any recommendations?

Daniel Ifrah at Aspier is excellent with boys with such profiles
No social worker will be able to do medication management, it's out of their scope. They can consult with your prescribing medical professional but cannot prescribe or make medical decisions

We saw Dr eliyahu Weinschneider. We didn’t see him for these issues, but he was very thoughtful, insightful, and helpful.
