What foods do you take along when traveling with kids to a place with no Kosher food available? Besides matzah and tuna, that is.

usually a cooler with cold cuts for cold cut sandwiches for suppers, lunches I usually make and pack into the cooler: cheese blintses, cheese latkes. If you bring along a portable grill, you can have marinated chicken, cutlets and meat in the cooler and barbeque them. You can also have tuna or cream cheese sandwiches for lunches.

are u taking a cooler, will you have a fridge at your destination? If you will, you can branch out to dairy products, cold salads, lunch items, fruit, etc....

In the U.S. we had a 1 burner cooktop on which we made eggs, pasta etc. and we could heat up food which we had brought (frozen) with us. Also a crockpot - you can put up a meal with beans and have it ready for dinner.

Tortillas
Cold cuts
bagels
veggie patties

Then we'll go to a store and buy veggies and fruit, and other Kosher things such as cereal and milk.

Cereal and Rice Dream for breakfast.
Bread/bagels with jars of pb, jelly, chumus, etc.
Hard-boiled eggs and maybe small jar of mayonnaise if we think we'll have no time to buy.
Cans of tuna and corn (and can opener)
Some uncooked noodles and rice (and a pot with an electric single burner)
Cold schnitzels and tuna patties ready made
Vaccum-packed salami
Hot dogs for a cookout.
Flatbreads, breadsticks, rice cakes for snacks
Chips and salsa for a treat
Raisin boxes for when we need some silence, LOL.

I've done it so many times it's almost automatic by now. Rolling Eyes And we always make sure we have a fridge wherever we're staying.

That holds us for a few days.
