Unpopular opinion, I know.

It's starting a week from today.

I don't like the super late Shabbosim. We don't do early Shabbos, so everyone is falling asleep at the Friday night meal. Long Shabbos days feel like a drag and the only thing left to do on MS is go to bed.

IDK why but daylight at 7 PM makes me unsettled. It's pressure to keep going when all I want to do is wind down.

The one thing I don't mind is waking up to sunlight. That's OK, I guess.

Interesting that you're calling it unpopular.
I absolutely love everything about changing the clock and Daylight Saving Time ... I always thought it was my opinion that's unpopular.

I don't have a preference between EST or DST. I just wish they would choose one and run with it all year. I hate the changing of the clocks.

You can love the longer days but dread the longer shabbosim.

Shabbos with kiddos is hard!!! Especially if you live somewhere without an Eiruv so your stuck at home the entire day.

Even on a late Motzai Shabbos my husband and I still try to watch a short show even 2 episodes and go to bed late - it helps if even one of us took a nap...

I don't find Friday any more relaxed and I find bedtime so hard when it's light outside forever (like till 9:00!…)
I also prefer the sun to have risen to get my kids out of bed in the morning...

Where I live there's no Eiruv and Shabbos ends midsummer close to midnight Sad

Same here! I love the winter! I love when the kids are contained playing indoors they have friends over or go to neighbors but the running outside in the summer is such anxiety for me always watching where each kid is and the cars.
I also find bedtime much easier in the winter.

The only thing I do enjoy in the summer is my social company outside

Yesssssss.

I love love love long summer days. But it's long enough WITHOUT DST!!!!
It takes my Body and brain weeks ti adjust and my kids too. Everyone is crazy and cranky until we adjust. Not fun.
And the days are long anyway. I need the sun to go down by 7-7:30. The little kids still need their sleep. But noone wants to come inside when the sun is still out.....
