My kids all enjoy dressing up together every year.

They came up with a cute idea a couple months ago. Suddenly yesterday they decided they don’t want to do that idea and are frantically searching for a new idea.

They don’t like the “typical” ideas (wtvr that even means!) I have a very talented dd who always sews and creates the costumes herself. So it can really be anything (not limited to what I can find already made in a store).

It’s for a bunch of kids. Mainly girls… the oldest 2 boys will away with their yeshivas and the 1 year old doesn’t get an opinion:)

Help a mother out… give me the brilliant idea that will solve all the biggest problems of life and make me best mother ever

Pick a classic board game and do each person a different charchter or aspect of the game:
Examples
Candy Land - king candy, lord licorice, queen frost, princess lolly grandma nut, gingerbread(pieces)
Monopoly- mr monopoly, monopoly board, go to jail policewomen, in jail, luxury tax fancy lady,
Clue - cl mustard, mrs peacock, professor plum
Hungy hungry hippos - diff colored hippos

Or do a board game theme and each person can be another board game

Ooo these are great!!

Keep em comin!!

I can only start the costume convo again when I am fully equipped… otherwise they will get hysterical that they “don’t have a costume and omg maaaa you don’t understand! Purim is like in 3 weeks and we don’t even have a costume!!”

Just to be clear. They all love Purim and really love dressing up. They are creative and love this outlet. I’m not pressuring anyone to be or do anything. We all enjoy it. Usually the costume convo starts on sukkos.. that’s why they are freaking out! I am staying cool calm and collected… bc I know y’all are gonna help me figure this out!!

How about one being a bag of gum balls and each of the other kids being different colored gum balls. I saw this years ago and always say how cut it is. Or you can dress them up as different community helpers, construction workers, one can be a painter and everyone can be a different color, or you can do Noach and Naama and everyone can be a different animal, or you can do different Israeli noshes, or you can do IDF which I know there will be a ton of these this year..
If you want I can try to thinking more..

I always wanted to do police for the girls but they refused. It’s typical costume but with a twist because usually boys are policemen.

What about mitzvos that we will have when mashiach comes - para aduma, challah, bikurim, korbonos

Yomim Tovim - each one can bee a diff yom tov

Omdim Aleinu Lechalosenu - Egyptian, Greek, Persian, Roman, Nun, Muslim

Authentic Purim Story - do research and make costumes that actually closer to what they would have worn

Famous Nashim Tzidaknious - if there names are tanach based then the women they are named after
