I don't know how old your girl is, but I wear strapless bras, you really can't see a thing. But I'm also really small on top so it works for me. I do adjust it a little throughout the day, but I have friends who are bigger on top and it doesn't work for them.

I know last summer some stores were selling lined white t-shirts, but they can get very hot and sweaty.
There used to be a company with a green lable - ivy and something I think- that had "thicker" white t-shirts.
Also, nude undergarments also "show less" than white ones.
