Just that.
My two year old is very verbal so she’s more than able to tell my what she wants
But she cries. All the time .

Multiple tantrums/ meltdowns a day.
It is pushing me to the edge( side note, I’m very experienced in early education I can say for a fact that this is not normal toddler behavior)

I can’t get her seen by a specialist until September.
I am not going to make it that far.

I have absolutely no help and bo support I am completely at the end of my rope.

How long is this going on for?
What sort of specialist are you trying to see?
Did she go to your regular pediatrician to rule out physical ailments?
When you ask her why she’s crying what does she say?

Sleep, being left alone, cold, changing her clothes.

Sleep and clothes are a big trigger for her she melts down for about twenty minutes every time she has to change clothes.

I don’t want to get into the sleep issues.

She’s afraid of water, cold and hot temperatures .
And for the past few months she follows me around clinging to me constantly, whining “mama mama mama” and won’t say anything other than “mama” and crying when I ask her what’s wrong.

When she’s regulated she can have full on conversations and her playgroup morahs say she is ahead of even older kids with her speech.

Is she well fed? My toddler acts that way when she's hungry.
A toddler can't really communicate "I'm hungry" but will be kvetchy instead.

Is someone bothering her?
Go thru her day and try to see if someone / something is bothering her.
Does she get car sick on the way home?

Sensory integration issues

Check for Food allergies, food intolerance/digestion

Get an eval with a SLP. She might have a decent vocabulary but not good articulation. Even if on a decent day she is able to express herself.

Physical discomfort/ pain that she can't articulate or doesn't even know she has.
Check her teeth.

(My nephew was diagnosed with gad & asd. A soon as he had his teeth fixed (under anesthesia. They did all his teeth) he literally woke up a completely different neurotypical child!
My son who was a normal healthy 4 yo was really struggling with the long school day and long bus ride and would have meltdowns once every 2 days at least.
We also did his teeth under anesthesia, he hasn't had a meltdown since.
He never complained on his teeth. He refused to open his mouth at the dentist and we brushed and flossed. When he finally started cooperating at the dentist he had tons of cavities. I knew he has 2 cavities. I could see with my eyes. The others not.
He is so much happier now. He laughs more. Is overall more content.
issues

Pans/pandas/lyme

And lastly, some kids are cryers. They cry and cry and cry about everything and anything and eventually outgrow it.

My sister has a kid like this. She'd cry amd cry and cry. She was 2 and 3 and 4 and she just cried. She had her evaluated and everything. She had not come back with any diagnosis or issues.
My sister used to say "she's fed, clean and loved. Let her enjoy her favorite pastime."
The older kids would go insane. My sister had nerves of steel.
The kid is now a regular happy smart social elementary schooler. No issues.
But I'd def check into things before coming to the conclusion that she's just a crier.
You don't want to miss anything.

Sounds like sensory to me. I would get in touch with an OT asap. The ones that deal with sensory integration.

I had this with my daughter and we just mostly out of it Chasdei Hashem. It was strep- we didn’t catch right away and once we took care of it we saw a huge difference. I said mostly because also took her for an OT eval recently and at the end of the evaluation I was in tears from relief from what they told me- most of her outbursts stem from sensory issues and bezH we should see a huge difference with treatment.

I will say I wasn’t even able to think about OT until the strep calmed down because as you know it’s a bit much- it takes over every bit of you.
