Thanks a mill! I appreciate that you took the time to put this together. You would do the mauve desert just one wall or all?

Im game to return the linen and get something fresh. Im so bad at this that if the lady in the store said this was her new hot item, I believed her.

If you want a sharp elegant look, you can paint all walls white & paint the ceiling a different color (maybe a very soft pink) matching to the room.
Perhaps you can exchange the linen for something softer, like a floral with a white background.

Return the linen and go for something fresh and crisp, maybe hotel style. Aura and belle seems to have affordable options.

Paint all walls one color.

White is nice but you can also do a very light gray or greige.

Let the mauve be an accent color- either on the linen or a chair, pillows or something.

Denim panels are fine. Agree maybe to do them straight and not brick so it doesn’t look messy

this linen is pretty. I have it. but not hot and new...I own it for a year already...
