I give regular MM with a nice thank you note to teachers and add wine and a small (under $50) check to Rebbe of older grades (grades 7+ and mesivta). I never asked what is "normal". The Baltimore thread got me thinking.

I guess there are more Baltimore Imas than Detroit. Maybe I'm the only one...or the only one not too busy to be on imamother.

Baltimore is a lot bigger!
I don't live in Detroit, but 4 of my kids have gone to school there.
They gave out the addresses of the teachers before Purim, so I guess in high school there is something expected. For the Yeshiva the parents got together and did a joint gift.
But this might also vary by school.
