Really good! But now I'm feeling self conscious, I loved getting a pastry and ice coffee and so I give that now along with chocolate bar. Too simple??? Argh! :-)

Great poem!

This may just be my personal experience, but I feel that this only exists in imamother world. In (my) real life, literally no one cares. Give your mishloach manos and move on. Most people barely notice what you’re giving, it’s such a busy day! Morahs and therapists appreciate whatever you give, and if you give nothing that’s ok too! Perhaps I live in a different reality.

Thing is that we want to put everyone into same box, it would be so boring, if everyone is trying to do the mm that's just right, because it would be copy/paste of 20 identical ones received.

I was a teacher, and loved the diversity. If I had 20 students and 20 diff type of mm. Some individuality, that's what make it fun.

It's interesting to see what everyone comes up with.

I've gotten gifts like some dish with chocolate or candy in it. That are useful and reusable.
Cake plates, stem glassses and such.

Then some shmontzes that clutter up house like best teacher plaques, magnets, pic holders etc. Like am I supposed to decorate my home with best teacher stuff?

OK some lavish huge baskets but random gifts like blue/red cloth dinner tablecloth that didn't fit my table and didn't match anything.

Light blue vases that match nothing.

Some nice jewelery and watches some hideous.

Then some cash/checks. Some with nice notes. Some not.

It's years later, I still saved every note.

Some toys for my kid, like puzzles.

Some pics of my student in like a stuffed Clown cube or other pic holder

Some small bar of chocolate

Then one yr I got 14 huge chocolate gift boxes.

Some homemade cookies and cake

Some things matching to theme of what costume student wore, like an ice cream cup.

Some color coordinated items.

Some collection of cheap nosh like snack bags.....

Im giving a basket of fruits this year (not cut up). I think it's the safest. My ego can't handle making a mistake.
