She’s 3.
She’s smart as a whip.
She comes home dry after school…
I didn't push her to start, she wanted it

We started 3 weeks ago.

I take her to the potty every 30 minutes. she sits and many times nothing.

Then five minutes later she’ll have an accident on the floor.

Over Shabbos, she made 3 accidents including a poo. It’s so gross I can’t manage. One in the carpet 🤢 Oh, and I have no toilet downstairs so there’s a potty in front of her face and she still won’t use it 😠

Obviously every time she goes we cheer and make a part for her.

She loves to wear underwear but she refuses to cooperate.

If she won't use the little potty, you'll have to work with getting her upstairs a lot. Some kids want no part of the little ones.

You might want to consider pullups, if you're too grossed out by accidents.

At first, you have to watch like a hawk. Kids don't automatically know what it feels like when they need to go, so make sure you're on top of her body language, so you can teach her.

Do you reward success? I'd give something small, like a chocolate chip, for every time she sits, and double if she produces.

She liked the potty when I put her down, but when she’s not in the mood she’ll just go in the carpet.

The problem with pull-ups is that she’ll use it instead of going.

She did tell me once today she needed to go so that was a winner, but even though I asked her many times to go and if she needed, she still did a poop in her underwear…

We reward and make a party each time, yes.

Don't sit her on the toilet every 30 minutes. It makes kids not learn & know their body cues.
