Why can't you use your regular vacuum on pesach?

Why would you even need a new vacuum?

We use the same vacuum as the rest of the year. Change bags or clean out container. No need for a new one.

On the same note,
Do you have separate linen sets for pessach? Do you have separate toilets? Separate baby strollers? Are people taking pessach to the next level? What’s wrong with them?

I’m the type of person that has everything the same as all year. I eat foods that are kosher and I mish and I really don’t mind pesach. Then marriage happened and in laws don’t eat anything that grew under the sun, is edible, is green, has peels, and so on. I respect it and I respect husband for keeping to these standards but I can’t.
MY POINT IS I don’t ask, what happened? Why all the insanity? Why this and that?
I smile and nod, and eat my bought chocolate with coffee!

Be nice. You don't know if op is a BT and still learning things. Come on, it's not that far fetched considering the other crazy things we turn ourselves into pretzels for! (Or not cos they're chometz 😉)

No. I empty the canister. Nothing in your vacuum is edible anymore.

Exactly. People are nasty on here sometimes, over an innocent question!

Too complicated to clean the bristles and brushes and the hose

Wow, I feel like I just got my head bitten off for a simple Q. It was an innocent Q.
A rabbi of mine mentioned in a shiur that vacuums can be very hard to clean out and it may just be best to put away for pesach. My babysitter is obsessed with my vacuum so thats why I asked if anyone has a separate one - prob a stupid Q esp this year bc it's true, only a couple days of CH, but I haven't made pesach that many times and I'm still learning and also getting overwhelmed trying to make sure I remember all that there is to clean, put away, buy, etc.
So thank you to the people who were nice with their responses - if everyone could relax a little and be a little nicer it would be appreciated.
And fyi I did not grow up totally frum, my family is traditional and although they made Pesach in the way they knew how, there's plenty they don't do/know so sometimes reaching out to fellow friends or frum posts can be helpful as there's so much to do for pesach and I don't have a mother to ask.
