Can your name something specific, practical, and useful that you learned in school after 6th grade? Not Jewish because that is endless. Not before 6th grade because those are basic life skills that everybody knows.
Not general like "bio because I'm in the medical field" or "everything because all knowledge is useful".
For example,
What part of the day is hottest, so that's when I set my ac to go on
Not to use the same fork for raw and cooked chicken
Things like that.

My advanced biology teacher taught us about germs on raw food.
My earth science teacher told us about the Sun and when it's at its hottest.

I learned a few languages that I use all the time. I learned spelling, proper writing (expressing what I want to say) and literature in those languages.
I learned a lot of basic biology, history, geography, chemistry, physics, maths which is part of the general knowledge I need all the time in my profession.
I also learned advanced maths and I use it less today, because I did not enter the field of physics or chemistry or engineering. But the fact that I learned it allowed me the options of entering those fields, and I kept a keen interest in those subjects until today, where I still learn about them on a more basic level.

I learned to type on a manual typewriter.
Then we got electric typewriters.
I learned how to kosher chickens but I never used it.

I think one practical application where a broad general education comes in handy is nonsense-detection.

I learned how to type in high school. And I am a very fast typist and I found that to be very helpful in life .I learned how to braid a six braids challah (a shout out and thank you to my home-ec teacher!) I finally learned how to use a comma. And I also learned how to read political cartoons which helped me understand all the funny sarcastic stuff . I learned how to write cohesively and create first-rate essays. And that really helped me with all my report writing and I have to do for my job.

Wow imamother has gotten unfriendly since I was here last. Remembering why I took a break now.
If something seems stupid to you, is it required to comment?

In which post did you see an accusation of stupidity? I must be stupid because I'm not seeing it.

By " learned" do you mean "were taught" or "still remember and use to this day"? Because we were taught many useful things, like first aid,
most of which I do not necessarily remember anymore. But I can neatly bandage a limb, wrist or ankle and make a sling for an injured arm.

I learned how to write well in high school and college. I write creatively almost every day and it brings so much joy to my life. It’s funny- I used to be a painfully slow typist, despite the courses I took in school as a kid. But between texting so often and writing all the time, it brings me so much pride to be able to type so quickly.
It’s more of a skill than a specific idea, so not sure if it’s what you’re looking for. It was still fun to think about, so thank you!

How to cut class and avoid being caught by the principal by climbing out the window and running down the fire escape...
Unfortunately it didn't help me in life...I can't fit through the window anymore
