Question: The zebra shades, are they those awful panel curtains? Asking seriously. (I'm in Bnei Brak which explains a lot Smile

Cute! I remember reading somehwere once - maybe even Imamother? - expressions that sound strange to everyone except frum yidden. It was hilarious!(Think: "when are you turning over?" "It's a short Friday" "They hold differently to us")

If you mean the vertical ones that slide, no. Zebra shades are horizontal

BDE! That's a pet peeve of mine. It was discussed here in depth!

I'm laughing at the Rabbi Greenspan mention- when he first became well known, everyone was wondering who he was, then he once put out a video with his face and my father was shocked to see it was the guy he'd had as a chavrusah for a little while Very Happy

Another Jewish phrase is "wearing nude". It's kinda an oxymoron if you think about it literally Very Happy

Here's one video from his YouTube channel. I don't see his original work, they were just voicenotes forwarded around Whatsapp. But there's a lot of material on YouTube.

I loved it!
The only one I never heard of was Greenspan but I asked my 18 year old brother and he promptly educated me and all my siblings.
