She is so shy in talking to me about these things. She's been wearing a training bra for about 8 months. She's on the small medium side and has slightly more than little bumps. Would that be out of the training stage? She doesn't want me to measure her. Do I just stab in the dark and buy her an A?

You’ll see when she needs better coverage. Some kids can go a year or two in a training bra. You’ll know. Slightly more than little bumps doesn’t sound like you need move up.
