We just had a conversation about it. My super smart son told his friends off that "my mommy cares more about my safety than following whatever you do" . I was so proud. He didn't cave to peer pressure.
We just had a carseat installed in every car my kids were in. So if someone else took them home, they had our spare. We had a super lightweight and easy to install cosco brand one. We even bought for grandparents who did carpool occasionally for us.
Safety is our priority, not peer pressure.

I find this a huge frum issue. Non Jews and not frum people I know are more likely to keep their kids in the correct car seat. And won't booster until 7 or later.
Just because we may have more kids doesn't make safety fly our the window. Every kid is precious and needs a safe seat.
Car seats also expire. And must be tossed if in a car accident.

I had to switch my baby at 15 months, she gets so carsick she'll throw up non-stop (even on short rides). I'm honestly really paranoid about her safety facing forward...
