We’re planning a trip and being in Vegas for. A day
What are interesting things for a couple to do in Vegas not on the strip?

Valley of Fire State Park is very nice. Zion NP is even nicer, but farther away.

Just curious have you ever been to the strip? Not everything is as pritzus as you think. The water show in the bellagio is stunning. The hotel venice is adorable to stroll through/take a boat ride.

If you want something really unique and out-of-the-box, check this out:

We went to one of the other locations and our minds were blown by the creativity!

My parents didn't gamble; didn't like pop music (e.g. the shows) and weren't really drinkers.

They enjoyed their trip to Vegas for a weekend. As others have posted the visited Hoover Dam and they went to a park in the desert that they thought was magnificent.

Those are the main tourist attractions that aren't "Strip" related but Vegas is actually a city where there are people who do very normal things and has museums and such. My friend's parents retired to one of the suburbs of Vegas.

The natural area near Vegas is beautiful. We loved red rock canyon and a different place.

Mount Charleston was neat because it was 30 degrees cooler than Vegas (in January) so we went from warm weather to driving in the snow on the mountain.
