Years ago in the Chassidish world Denim was not allowed. Today’s days I’m seeing it everywhere and I wear it. Thing is my kids are starting to go to school and I don’t want to get them thrown out. Is it a problem with Chassidish schools or it’s ok now?

Some places still don’t allow. You have to find out from wherever you would want to send

there's a difference between the denim skirts of yesteryear and today's denim. different texture, look and "sound".

From what I see the chassidish community has embraced tencel material which is a denim color but much thinner than Jean denim material. Some chassidish schools seem to allow it in day camp others don't.

old denim was much more rough, thick fabric. it's still available but softer denim is very common now. same with the look, it's kind of denim color but not necessarily the fabric.
remember the denim skirts that made the smacking sounds when you walked?
the denim I have don't make any noise.

Chassidish schools allow Chambray/denim color, but many don't allow denim jean fabric.
