Do you appreciate a brand who models their non-maternity clothes on a pregnant woman? Do you feel tempted to purchase these clothes if you don't see how it would fit on a non-pregnant woman?

Don’t they put fake bumps on the models?

Some people don't fit into maternity and need bump friendly non maternity clothing.
If you're talking about Dress Blank - they put the maternity friendly clothing in a seperate section and it's modeled in pregnant models/women wearing fake bumps. But you can see the clothes on reg women in the main shopping section...

It's kind of weird if an item is non-maternity bump-friendly and there's zero pictures of a regular model wearing it.....

I would not want to wear anything that a pregnant woman is the model for if I'm not pregnant. Seems like a bizarre marketing strategy.

Sounds like this is the opposite happening. Never heard or noticed such a thing.

I'd rather not mention which brand I'm talking about. I just thought it was so weird. Like I'm not pregnant. I don't want it modeled on a pregnant woman.

The idea of having a model is that people see what it looks like when it’s on. How is a pregnant model helpful? I imagine I’d be confused in this a scenario and search the page for the word maternity about a million times.

1) The influencer might have a long deal with the brand.
2) Some women want clothing that will fit when they are 1 month pregnant and 6 months... they might want to show how versatile their clothing are

I misunderstood your op.

Yes that’s very weird.
