I took a makeup course a year ago and wasn’t really successful, how can I build myself up and get appts booked?

Ask someone if you can be on their backup list.
Vounteer to do the makeup at shows/events /parties/ photoshoots etc.
Advertise, and put a freebie makeover if ppl advertise for you.
