In the winter I wear one black heavy knit a-line skirt the entire winter.
Summer I alternate between a few jean skirts…
The Mia mod has way too thick of a waistband for me it looks like a maternity skirt

I don’t get how people are wearing pencil skirts. I avoid those, they show my massive butt, hips and thighs. I wear a-line skirts like the Mia mod one.

I don't get how they WALK in them. In an earlier generation they were called "hobble" skirts, a far more accurately descriptive term.

Also I find them not tzanua as they are designed to emphasize the very curves you mention. I don't understand how frum women, even slim ones, can consider wearing them.

I think some people call straight skirts- pencil skirts when they are really just straight skirts.

I wear it under a cardigan so no butts sticking out.
The narrow straight silhouette that is visible is slimming on my frame.
More a-line skirts add too much bulk to my frame and I look larger.
