These are simple yet amazing!

1 cup marg., room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract (PURE)
2 T. sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350. In a large bowl, cream marg, sugar and eggs. Add dry ingredients, except the 2 T. of sugar and the cinnamon.

In a small bowl mix 2 T. sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon. Roll cookie dough into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar mixture. Place on a non greased cookie sheet (I line with parchment paper)

Bake for 10-12 minutes, don't let them brown.
Makes about 45 cookies. These freeze very well.

CREAM OF TARTAR

Tartaric acid is a brownish-red acid powder (potassium bitartrate) that is precipitated onto the walls of casks used to age wine. When refined into a white acid powder, ‘cream of tartar’, it is used in baking.

Cream of tartar is an acid powder. Combined with baking SODA it makes baking POWDER.

Cream of tartar is also used to give a creamier texture to sugary things like candy and frosting and to stabilize and increase the volume of beaten egg whites.

Cream of tartar can be used to clean brass and copper cookware.

It comes in a spice jar in the spices section (at least where I shop)

(Thats all I know and it makes my chocolate snickerdoodles soft and my meranges stiff and my niece says it does wonders in her icings)

And I did not recognize you with the new avatar. What happened to the old one?
