I'm debating if I should do those or a cake and fruit shishkabob for my ds birthday party. I always wanted to do them, but I would have to use my toaster oven. I once made cupcakes in there and they didn't bake so super.

I've done it, but you need a good oven.

I may sound ignorant (prob because I cook, don't bake) but what's a cake in a cone?

Thanks, then I guess I'll go with the shishkabob. I have so many sticks anyway.

That is too cute!

It looks like you have to be very good with your hands to pull it off, Kol Hakavod! I probably wouldn't even try it, like I said, cook, not baker.

I actually do it for my kids birthdays instead of regular old cupcakes. I also did it for Purim, when my kids dressed as ice creams.

I did a project using these with my 4th grade class when I was single-
Bake chocolate cake in cones- I used the first recipe in spice and spirit- allow enough so that it rises nicely at the top

make buttercream frosting from side of dominoe's confec sugar- I made it pareve with marg

buy mini cones that are pointy

frost whole tops of cake cones including round part on top
on one side create a face using licorice bits, chocolate chips, winkies etc.
roll back in hair either chocolate sprinkles or any color cocunut, cookie crumbs etc.
use mini cones as birthday hats
Walla! instant birthday clown cones, fun and yummy too!
