Thanks for all the suggestions, but my hub generally takes care of himself- that's just the problem! And if I would get him ex: a scarf he would not think its a gift
His 1st b-day after we married I bought him a gold pen w/ his name engraved - which he lost shortly after- I know he would love a new one, but I'm not replacing it so fast!
He doesn't wear cologne or cufflinks- so that's ruled out.
I was gonna buy a buy a mens valet a couple of times, but our room is tight in space & I saw that they are priced at $250 aproximately!!!
A gadget sounds good - but what????

What is he like? What does he do? Any specific hobbies or things he's especially in to?

why dont you give him a gift voucher for your local gadget/electronics store and let him pick out something himself?

You can get men's valets for a lot less. Check BB& B the have one for $100 that is not big. I know there is another thread discussing valets that had a lot of ideas that were not a fortune.
does he like to do house work - get him a tool he really wants.
Is he a big learner - get him a new shtender
Does he like wine - get him some glasses and a wine testing set
Does he like wiskey - get him some funky shnapps cups
does he like coffee - get him a nice percolator
does he work in an office - get him a small refrigerator, or microwave, or USB can cooler or warmer (those things are cool!) or a digital picture frame for his desk.

What about a comfortable desk chair for him to use when learning or doing paperwork in the house - it depends on where you have to keep it. You can some nice ones at Staples without spending a lot.

Just keep in mind that you want something for HIM not YOU. I'm stressing this bec a few times I mentioned to DH that maybe I'll buy him a valet and he told me thst I can buy it if I want but I should know its not for him but would be for myslef.
